Research Participant Privacy Notice
How we collect and use research participant information, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
When you join, we collect the information you provide in your profile, such as your contact details and answers about your background, household, interests, and experiences. If you take part in a study, we may also collect your screening answers, research responses, participation and payment records, and, where the study calls for it, audio or video recordings.
How we use it
We use this information to manage the research community, identify and invite people to relevant studies, conduct research, provide compensation where applicable, respond to requests, and review participation and data quality. We may also use your email address to send occasional Sparkle Insights updates, which you can unsubscribe from at any time using the link in any email.
Who handles it
Authorized Sparkle Insights team members and service providers involved in managing profiles, communications, recruitment, research, and payments may handle information needed for those tasks. The signup form is hosted on Monday.com. We may also work with independent recruiters on particular studies. We do not sell the research community’s contact list.
What clients receive
Clients generally receive combined findings or quotations without participants’ names. A particular study may involve recordings, selected video clips that display a first name, or another identifiable contribution. Its invitation and consent materials will explain what will be shared and with whom.
How long we keep it
We keep community profiles while they are useful for invitations and participation management. We may retain participation history for longer to check research quality and avoid inappropriate repeat recruitment for the same client or topic. You may ask us to remove your profile from future invitations. Some records may need to be retained for legitimate research, payment, or recordkeeping purposes.
Your choices
Participation in any study is voluntary. You may request access to or correction of your profile, or ask to stop receiving invitations, by emailing hello@sparkleinsights.com. You can unsubscribe from our updates at any time using the link in any email. Each study may provide additional information and choices about its specific data collection.
